Peter Scoppettone

Architectural designer and construction project manager

Peter Scoppettone has more than 40 years experience in the design-build field. He has designed and built many residential and commercial projects including new homes, alterations, additions, and building envelope upgrades as well as four restaurants, numerous office fit-ups, adaptive reuse projects and condominium conversions.

Trained in architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Boston Architectural Center, Peter has brought his architectural and aesthetic skills into his work.  Having grown up a mile from a Frank Lloyd Wright (FLW) residential development in Pleasantville, New York, three of his classmates lived in the three FLW designed houses in the development. Having spent some time in these houses, it is understandable that his interest in architecture originated in this experience.  Whenever he could, he applied the FLW influence to his residential work.

Over the years, the industry has focused more and more on serious energy efficiency methods and Peter has studied and applied these methods and principles whenever possible.  He is proud to have detailed the Mills House in Barnard, Vermont, which is modeled toward the Passivhaus movement from Germany.  The Mills House achieves “Near Passivhaus” standards and with the recent installation of their solar photovoltaic panels on the roof, the owners have achieved a “near zero energy” home.
